A classification system developed for government documents that contains letters and numbers and is shelfed together as a collection. Put a space between the first letter(s) and the number that follows. Example : HH 1.2:H |
| Dewey Decimal Classification numbers |
This is an early classification system that uses only numbers. Books are no longer being added to our collection with Dewey numbers. WE are in the process of converting items classified with the Dewey number to the Library of Congress classificaiton system. However, there are many items in the collection that still use Dewey. | Microfiche and Microfilm numbers |
These use a combination of format designation, letter and number. Put a swpazce before and after the letter part of the number.. Example : MFILM B 1551 Example : MFICHE B 108 |
| Sound Recordings |
These use a combination of format, and numbers. Put a space between the format word and the number. Example : DISC 3046 Example : CDISC 5205 |
